Types of Access Control Systems

The easiest way to secure your business is to control the flow of movement in and out of your property. Automation & Security can make an access control system that fits in with your company requirements.

We can introduce a basic sign-in or turnstile facilitiy; we can also provide advanced multi-level authorisation card or lock systems. These can track and restrict access for different classifications of workers or visitor. This can be added to numerous checkpoints around your premises.

Radio Remote Control

This is a reliable method of accomplishing access control for automated gates. These offer the option of having the ability to operate a handheld device.

Proximity Detectors

This system is for applications that require low security. The gate will open up when movement is identified nearby.

Number Plate Recognition

This system will identify particular number plates. These will have been added in software on a computer which becomes part of the system.

Magnetic Card Visitor

Comparable in application to the electronic keypad. Magnetic card visitors enable a quicker entry. The automated gate will open up when the pre-issued card is aid up against the viewer.

Induction Loop Detector

This system utilises a cable television loop below the road surface. It then generates a magnetic field.

Local or Remote Button

Perhaps the simplest of systems. A local or remote push button operates the gate as the name recommends.

Key Switch

A high-security option. This allows selected personnel to insert a key to trigger a regional or remote switch.
